When he found himself embroiled in a conversation with someone about their ‘customer-centric core competencies’ he  realised it was time to create a business that was less about self promoting buzz-words and more about results, in a language you can actually understand.

The idea behind Explainafide was to create an environment where business owners can come to learn about expanding their profile, whether it be with an outstanding website or other marketing options.

Ben Sullivan

Ben can’t help but draw, doodle, paint and sketch his way through life. Since graduating with a degree in Fine Art from Monash University in 2001 his work has been displayed in numerous solo and group exhibitions including painting, drawing, graphic design, sculpture and installation.

Not only is he pretty handy with the old paint brush but he now lends his hand to children’s book illustration, web design, custom painting and retail interior design. His work consistently reflects the quality obtained by years of training and skillful craftsmanship. Ben’s work can be seen in various locations around Melbourne including Kids in Berlin, Claire Taylor Atelier, Curious Oyster, Orlando and Ivy and the Rose Street Markets.

A great piece of writing moves people, inspires people and can even help people, whether it be through self improvement, advice or a sense of support. How many times have you felt down and read a funny article and suddenly felt better? Or felt lonely and curled up with a good book and felt like you were with friends? Novels can create a sense of belonging, a sense of adventure and be a source of inspiration. A column can put a bounce in your step, give you a lift, let you start your day with a smile. And an informative article can inform, provide support and even save businesses.

That is why I love writing

Having that kind of influence is mind boggling. I live everyday with the knowledge that in at least some small way, I am helping people. Sure I’m not fighting fires,rescuing kittens from trees or building houses for the homeless, but I’m sure that somewhere out there, someone is having a good day because they’ve read an article of mine, or someone has reduced office expenses and been able to go on a much needed holiday because they’ve heeded our advice. And that gives me a good feeling.

So you may be wondering, after reading that, what I actually do. The short answer is that I’m a sticky nose. I get into everything, niggle at this, improve upon that, natter about another thing. I’m well versed at conveying opinions and I can be very persuasive.

Chances are, I’m the one putting that punchy line on your Website.
